ACA's 2013 Annual Meeting will focus on the North Korea situation, strategies and solutions to bolster the nuclear nonproliferation system, and build-up the new Arms Trade Treaty. Our program includes:

Keynote luncheon speaker Ellen Tauscher, former Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security and 7-term member of the U.S. House of Representatives on “Prague 2.0 - Next Steps for the Second Term;”

Panel One:

"Understanding the Tensions on the Korean Peninsula and the Next Steps for Washington"panel discussion with Leon Sigal, director of the Northeast Asia Cooperative Security Project at the Social Science Research Council, Joel Wit, visiting scholar, U.S.-Korea Institute at SAIS, and Fabrice Vareille, deputy head of the division for relations with Japan, the Koreas, Australia and New Zealand at the European External Action Service (EEAS);

Panel Two:

"The New Arms Trade Treaty - Assessing Its Impact and Accelerating Its Implementation" panel discussion with Rachel Stohl, Stimson senior associate and ACA board member and consultant to the president of the talks and Frank Jannuzi, head of the Washington office of Amnesty Intl. USA.
