On February 24, 2022 Russia began its full-scale invasion into Ukraine. Fighting has continued over the past year, along with brutal reports of missile strikes on civilian targets, forced deportation, and other atrocities, as well as Russia’s attempts to claim several Ukrainian territories. The Wilson Center will mark one year of the invasion with a discussion reflecting on the early days of the war, Russia’s occupation of Ukrainian regions, and what transitional justice may look like when the fighting stops, featuring remarks from Amb. John Sullivan, Dr. Olena Lennon, and Kennan Institute Director William Pomeranz.
