Writing and placing opinion media, including op-eds, commentary and letters to the editor, is a powerful method to reach and persuade target audiences, whether they’re consumers, business executives or government officials.

During this virtual program hosted by the NPC Communicators Team, Sam Ryan and Robby Schrum of Keybridge Communications will review best practices for opinion media and explain the elements and processing of crafting a newsworthy item such as an op-ed.

An op-ed, or opposite editorial, has a long tradition in journalism. It’s an opinion article that appears in the newspaper opposite the editorial page. The page typically features articles that provide a unique perspective of subject matter experts or commentary by the paper’s columnists. It’s also were letters to the newspaper’s editor are featured.

Keybridge communications is a boutique firm based in Washington that specializes in writing and placing op-eds. The firm says, “opinion media drives the public debate – and enables our clients to expand their footprint, sway attitudes, and achieve their strategic goals.”
