Bush, assistant secretary of the army for acquisition, logistics, and technology, as well as launch an Atlantic Council issue brief which sets forth key considerations and policy approaches for transitioning US military ground mobility to electric power. To date, the US military has been driven by climate imperatives to begin to transition its ground vehicle fleet to electric power (in place of fossil fuels). But just as compelling rationales, if not more so, are the tactical, operational, and strategic advantages offered by electric power for military ground vehicles. How can the US military best leverage the advantages of electric ground vehicles? How will key emerging defense technologies—from artificial intelligence to directed energy—drive the electrification of the future battlefield? Join us on November 3 to learn more.
