The Russian-American relationship extends beyond politics into the literary traditions of both countries. What role has Russia played in the American novel, and how have Russian authors written about America? How have these mutual portrayals evolved over time—and to what extent have they shaped popular thought?

Please join the Center on Global Interests as we host Dmitry Bykov, one of Russia’s leading contemporary writers, for an evening of literary discussion. CGI President Nikolai Zlobin, author of a series of bestselling books for Russians about America, will moderate the talk.

A wine reception will follow.
