Please join the CSIS International Security Program for a conversation with Admiral Pierre Vandier, Chief of the Naval Staff for Marine Nationale. He will join Dr. Seth G. Jones, Senior Vice President and Director of the International Security Program, to discuss an overview of the priorities of the French Navy, and how the French Navy envisions future growth capabilities.

Admiral Pierre Vandier has served in the French Navy for more than 30 years. He began his role as Chief of the Naval Staff in September 2020. Prior to this, he served as Principal Staff Officer of the Secretary of State for Defence and Vice-Admiral. Admiral Vandier is a member of the 65th session of the High Military Studies Centre (CHEM) and of the 68th session of the Higher Studies in National Defence Institute (IHEDN).
