Turkey continues to be a model host country for refugees and for humanitarian aid, by adjusting its resources and doing more for refugees than many other countries. Last month, U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley traveled to Turkey to discuss international cooperation and the needs of refugees. She expressed her appreciation for the tremendous support and hospitality that Turkey has been providing to approximately 3 million Syrian refugees, the largest number among international community.
Turkish Heritage Organization's June 23 teleconference will bring together Kizilay (Turkish Red Crescent) President Dr. Kerem Kinik and Senior UNHCR U.S. Government and External Relations Advisor Jana Mason to discuss Turkey's international cooperation and challenges associated with being the largest refugee host.
