On May 28th Turkey will be holding its second round of Presidential Elections, which carry enormous significance for the future of the country as Turks decide whether to continue the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan into a third decade, or change course towards his challenger, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. The election will have major implications for the future of Turkey's democracy, its economic performance, and foreign policy. Join FPRI for a special conversation on the outcome of the elections with Selim Koru, Eurasia Fellow at FPRI, Seren Selvin Korkmaz, Executive Director of the IstanPol Institute, and James Ryan, Director of Research and the Middle East Program at FPRI.

Seren Selvin Korkmaz - Seren Selvin Korkmaz is a political analyst and co-founder & executive director of the IstanPol Institute, an Istanbul-based think tank. She is a researcher at the Stockholm University Institute for Turkish Studies, a nonresident fellow at the Middle East Institute in Washington, DC and a Marshall Memorial Fellow at GMF.

Selim Koru - Selim Koru is a Fellow in the Eurasia Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and an analyst at the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV).

James Ryan - James Ryan is the Director of Research and the Middle East Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI).
