Turkey is gearing up for a historic referendum on April 16, when voters will decide whether or not to approve constitutional amendments that will shift Turkey's current parliamentary system to an executive presidency.

Will the proposed changes provide greater opportunities or challenges for Turkey, particularly at a time when U.S.-Turkey relations need re-energizing?

Turkish Heritage Organization's panel on March 30 will bring distinguished Turkish and American experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities posed by the proposed presidential system, particularly with regard to its potential impacts on critical regional issues such as coalition efforts to fight against ISIS, the resolution of the Syria conflict, and improving trade and economic relations between Turkey and the U.S.
